Hail Design was commissioned by the City of Greater Geelong to design a vibrant and dynamic document for the council’s Multicultural Action Plan. The document needed to express the cultural diversity across the region in a positive light.
The direction we provided was to create a document that told individual stories of migrants and refugees, allowing them to express their culture and unique charm. Each of these stories contributed to a larger narrative of the document, and the general concept: We are all unique. We are all together.
Due to the broad audience and complex information, emphasis was placed on clarity of information. This included clearly layed out tables and charts, larger typesizes and a colour palette that was harmonious.
Hail directed and shot photography, designed the document and coordinated content from CoGG and Diversitat.
The document was launched 11th August 2011 by the Premier of Victoria, Ted Baillieu.
